Terms and conditions

Last updated: 31 October 2026

These terms apply to the use of Tourneasy (tourneasy.com). By creating an account or entering a tournament, you accept them. Questions? Email info@tourneasy.com.

1. What Tourneasy is

Tourneasy is a platform on which organisers publish and run badminton tournaments and players enter them. Each tournament is organised by its organiser, not by Tourneasy. The organiser decides on the events, draws, schedule, rules and refund policy, and is responsible for running the tournament.

2. Your account

  • Give correct details, especially your name, date of birth and gender: they decide which events you can play.
  • One account per person. Keep your password and two-step login safe; you are responsible for what happens with your account.
  • Players under 16 need permission from a parent or guardian.
  • You can delete your account at any time under My account → Privacy.

3. Entering a tournament

  • An entry is an agreement between you and the organiser. Tourneasy handles it for the organiser.
  • If there is an entry fee, your place is held for a limited time while you pay. Unpaid entries are released after that time.
  • Your entry is final once it is paid, or once it is confirmed for a free tournament. The organiser may still refuse or move an entry, for example when an event is full or you do not meet its conditions.
  • An entry is for a leisure activity on a fixed date, so the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply.

4. Payments and refunds

  • Entry fees and food orders are paid online through Stripe. Tourneasy receives the payment on behalf of the organiser.
  • Whether you get money back when you withdraw depends on the tournament's refund policy, shown on the tournament page. The organiser approves refunds.
  • If a tournament or event is cancelled, the organiser refunds the fee paid for it.
  • The refund policy may include an administration charge: the organiser can refund a percentage of the fee and keep the rest to cover transaction and administration costs. The refund for each tournament is shown on its page.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank this can take a few business days.

5. Food ordering

Some tournaments let you order food in advance. The organiser prepares and hands out the food and is responsible for the menu, prices and allergen information. You collect your order at the tournament with its order code.

6. Organisers

If you run a tournament on Tourneasy, you:

  • give correct and complete information about your tournament, fees and refund policy;
  • use participants' personal data only to run the tournament, keep it secure and follow the GDPR;
  • handle withdrawals and refunds fairly and in line with your published policy;
  • are responsible for the venue, safety and the conduct of the tournament.

Prices of paid organiser packages are shown before you buy, and you receive an invoice.

7. Fair use

Do not misuse Tourneasy: no false entries or accounts in someone else's name, no attempts to break in or overload the platform, no offensive content and no collecting other users' data. We may suspend or block accounts that break these terms.

8. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep Tourneasy available and correct, but cannot guarantee that it works without interruptions or errors. Tourneasy is not responsible for how a tournament is run, for injury or loss at a tournament, or for information that organisers provide. As far as the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid to Tourneasy for its own services in the 12 months before the damage, with a minimum of €100, and we are not liable for indirect damage. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

9. Content

The Tourneasy name, software and design belong to us. Organisers keep the rights to the texts, logos and documents they upload and allow us to show them on the platform.

10. Changes

We may change these terms. We announce important changes in advance by email or on the site. If you keep using Tourneasy after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

11. Law and disputes

Dutch law applies. If you have a complaint, please email info@tourneasy.com first so we can try to solve it together. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands; as a consumer you can also go to the court where you live.
